“The trademark consists of a label for the lids and a strip for the sides. On the label, there is a figure of a woman holding a torch, standing on a pedestal. Behind her is the sea with several ships. At the bottom of the label, there is a ribbon with the words ‘Sardines Standard’. On the strip, at the center within an ornament, is written ‘Sardines à l’huile’. On either side, within two ornamental frames, appears the word ‘Standard’, and within two circles at the ends of those ornaments that contain the word ‘Standard’, are the intertwined initials ‘F. J.’”
