Descrição da marca: “Na figura de um arlequim para o tampo das caixas e de uma cinta para as mesmas constituida por tres fitas onduladas e separadas umas das outras por uma caraça sobreposta sobre um monogramma formado pelas letras HX. Na primeira fita de esquerda lê-se Sardines à l`huile Portugal, na segunda, Produits de choix, e na terceira, Harlequim. Nas extremidades da cinta ha dois quadrados, n´um dos quaes se lê: Fabrication soignée e no outro Qualité supérieure. Estes quadrados estão separados das fitas pelos mesmos desenhos que separam estas umas das outras. Destinada a conservas de peixe.

Trademark description: A harlequin figure for the can lid and a side band composed of three wavy ribbons, separated from each other by a mask superimposed on a monogram formed by the letters “HX”. On the first ribbon, from the left, one reads: “Sardines à l’huile Portugal”; on the second: “Produits de choix”; and on the third: “Harlequim”. At the ends of the band are two squares — one reading “Fabrication soignée”, the other “Qualité supérieure”. These squares are separated from the ribbons by the same design elements that separate the ribbons themselves. Intended for canned fish.
