Arquivo Histórico Municipal António Rosa Mendes
O Arquivo Histórico Municipal António Rosa Mendes reúne o espólio das antigas fábricas conserveiras e na sua exposição permanente são retratados os ciclos da sardinha e do atum desde a sua captura até à saída das fábricas para a venda ao público. Estão presentes todas as fases de produção das conservas mediante recurso a fotografias, maquetes, máquinas e objetos, alguns dos quais cedidos por pessoas e instituições ligadas a esta atividade industrial.
Canning Industry and Lithographic Arts Exhibition in Vila Real de Santo António
The António Rosa Mendes Municipal Historical Archive houses the collections of the former canning factories. Its permanent exhibition traces the sardine and tuna production cycles, from the moment the fish were caught through to the finished products leaving the factories for sale to the public. All stages of the canning process are represented through photographs, models, machinery and objects, some of which were donated or loaned by individuals and institutions connected with the industry.
