On the label, there is a figure of an old man hovering in the sky, holding in each hand a can bearing the word ‘Cosmos’. Below this figure, there is a rock and waves, with the word ‘Cosmos’ also appearing on the label. On the strip, there are three rectangles—the central one being smaller—and in the two side rectangles, the word ‘Cosmos’ is written within an ornamental frame. In the central rectangle, the phrase ‘Sardines à l’huile’ appears within an ellipse. At the ends of the strip and beside the central rectangle, there are shields with the intertwined initials ‘F.
